Alicia Drew

Football Development Manager – Hampden Region
Alicia is passionate and community-minded, driven to support enhanced participation and improving the playing experience across the Hampden region within AFL Western District. Alicia has a diverse background in marketing and competition management. Presently undertaking a Masters in Business (Sports Management) degree, Alicia has been a strong supporter of female football involved since concept stage of the WVFFL. Alicia services the region from Warrnambool.

Jock Whiting

Football Development Manager – South West Region
Jock is experienced and heavily engaged with all development programs across the South West region of AFL Western District. Jock has extensive experience and has built strong connections with all stakeholders through the district. Jock has been a strong contributor to the growth and education of coaches and the mental health of participants through his involvement with various community groups. Jock services the region from Dunkeld.

Key Duties:
  • - Coordinate and convene tribunal hearings and investigations.
  • - Key support to tribunal panellists, appointed investigators, prosecutors and other tribunal associated officials with their roles in conjunction with the Regional Manager.
  • - General tribunal administration.

Peter Martin

Tribunal Secretary (Casual)
Peter has been involved with community sport and organisations all of his life. He brings strong administration skills to the position of Tribunal Secretary having worked in healthcare administration, most recently with South West Healthcare. Peter’s sons have all played local football and Peter himself has been involved with the Port Fairy Football Club as Senior Team Manager. Peter coordinates and supports our tribunal panel and processes – acting as a key conduit between clubs, umpire associations and the tribunal panel. Peter is also engaged by the WDFNL as League Secretary on a part-time basis.

Key Duties:
  • - Provide tailored and bespoke advice to community football clubs in the region to encourage best practice.
  • - Support elements of club social compliance including safeguarding of children measures.
  • - Support clubs in identifying and applying for various grant schemes.

Tim Mason

Club Champion / Integrity Officer (Casual)
Tim has extensive business and community football experience in the South West Victorian region. Tim is the immediate past President of the Hampden Football Netball League. Tim led the HFNL through the COVID-19 impacted 2020 season and drove a number of innovations whilst involved with the league including enhancing financial structures, implementation of match filming and the introduction of a Match Review Panel. Tim also has club level experience with the Hamilton Kangaroos. Tim brings valuable skills and knowledge to the position and is eager to improve the experience of volunteers involved with the code through the region. Tim carries out the role from his base in Hamilton on a casual basis. Tim is also engaged by the HFNL and MDFL to provide financial management and bookkeeping services.
