Female participation has surged in popularity over recent years, with the number of participants growing each year. The Western Victoria Female Football League caters for female participation across the region and we’re proud to support everyone involved.
AFL Western District aims to support existing teams, promote awareness of the game, and encourage even more participation in future seasons.
Here at AFL Western District, it’s our role to support women’s football in any way we can. This includes providing talent pathways, administering the Western Victoria Female Football League, engaging with the community and schools, working with affiliated umpiring bodies and connecting fans to the game they love.
If you’re involved in women’s football and need support or guidance, we’re here to help. If you aren’t currently involved but would love to jump on board, we’d love to hear from you too. It’s our aim to grow the sport throughout the region, for people of all ages.
AFL Western Victoria is committed to the ongoing development of talent pathways and opportunities for girls and women of all ages to get involved in the game.
Part of this is investing in junior participation, especially in the women’s game.
